Gorgeous photo. No idea where it was taken, though. A battlefield, I assume - but there are so many, aren't there?

It's not Austerlitz, I think I know that much.

It's not Austerlitz Michael, you're right. But you are in the right part of the country with that guess.
Wrong conflict, but right part of the country...

I have come back to this one 3 times now, and still no idea. Maybe something to do with the former Sudetenland? Give us another clue or put us out of our misery!

This photo was taken near Pohořelice, a little south of Brno.

The crosses mark the place of the mass grave in which are buried up to 700 victims of the Brno Death March, part of the expulsions of ethnically German Czechoslovakian citizens in the aftermath of World War II.
