Anybody know where in the Czech Republic this photo was taken?

mtsvec said...: Not sure but it looks beautiful. Is this part of the stations of the cross? Lots of villages had these types of outside stations that were used during the Easter season. This is the third or fourth in a row I didn't recognize. Guess I need to head back and do some more research and exploration!; 30 July 2008 at 3:39 pm

Ruda is an old mining village about halfway between Rymařov and Uničov and the whole area was part of the Sudetenland; the German-majority areas that were seized by Hitler's troops in 1938, with the agreement of Italy, France and England.

Cross Hill is the destination for a large Christian pilgrimmage every year on the first weekend in August.; 1 August 2008 at 9:31 am
