Where the Czech...? #107

Does anybody recognise this street and know what's special about it?

It is the historical village of HolaĊĦovice. I believe it is also a UNESCO world heritage site.

Are the houses really so "short" or is that an illusion of the photo perspective?

And why is it a UNESCO world heritage site?

Precisely right, Jameson. Well done!

Architecture, most of the houses are just a single floor on ground level and a steep roof. The photo is on an odd angle, but I think it's pretty accurate depiction. The best description of why UNESCO saw fit to include it on the world hertitage list is on their own website; http://whc.unesco.org/en/list/861

Thanks for your comments.
