Darn it! I knew this one. And Michael beat me to it. Legend has it you can rub a specific angel's head on the iron grating and all of your dreams will come true. So far it's working!
I have always enjoyed Plzen. I was there for the 60th anniversary celebration of the the city's liberation from the Nazi's by US troops. It was an amazing series of events and the 100+ US veterans who attended were well appreciated and recognized. One of the more surreal moments was walking through the parks where all of the military clubs had set up their collections of WWII military hardware. You see all of these guys in WWII American uniforms, the ones you grew up watching in old movies, and none of them spoke English! Considering the world opinions about the US at that time, it was good to see that people could remember us at our best.

Is it the Church of St Bartholomew in Plzen and the highest spire in the Czech Republic?

That was quick, also knew this one. The climb to the top of the tower has a great view and a good workout.
I thought the country's tallest church dab in the middle of its third-largest city might go quickly.
Well done, Michael.
Thanks for the tip about the angel, Karen. I'm off to Plzen soon and I have some dreams/projects I could use some help with :-)
I knew this one too! Gotta be quick to beat you lot!
