I know, even been there, its Stramberk in Moravia. The castle tower in the background is all that is left of the castle that was destroyed by the Tatars. I seem to remember they have a cookie in the shape of an ear to commemorate a victory over the Tatars. It has a beautiful town square and nearby is the Sipka cave where a Neanderthal was found.

And spot on about the cookies; "Stramberk ears" they're called, thanks to the habit of slicing off enemies' ears in that conflict betwen the Moravians and the hordes from the East.
