Where the Czech...? #22

The last couple of "Where the Czech...?"s were solved almost as soon as I posted them. This one, I hope, will provide a bit more of a challenge. Anybody know where it is?

Sorry Mark, that's not it. Good idea though; I'll have to have a look through and see if I have any decent photos of Trebic!

I was going to have a guess but five exlamation marks can't be wrong. That's the place near Ardspach rocks, isn't it?

Well done Dagmar, that's it, and welcome to the winners' list!(!!!!!);-)

Nové Město nad Metují is a little south of the Adršpach-Teplice rocks. When I did my course to be a tour guide, I drew this part of the country at random and had to work up a four day itinerary. They'd left Nové Město off the list of destinations, I think to try to trick whoever drew it, but luckily I'd already been there so knew not to skip it.

It really is a pretty little town; the round tower belongs to the chateau and the renaissance gable decorations continue right around the main square, much like in Telč or Litomyšl. Nice place.
